Hi there crafty friends!
Today´s card is a colorful birthday card made using my all
time favorite Mama Elephant stamp set, "Party Animals"!

I also used a banner stamp by Gummiapan for this birthday squad!

There was a lot of masking going on!
I often choose to stamp and mask rather then stamp the images up and
run them through my Scan n Cut (for the sets that I don´t have dies for)
and then put a scene together. The latter is much easier, but I like the
result of coloring and masking even though it takes time and planning ahead.

I started out with a stitched die cut panel, stamped and masked the images.
When finished I fuzzy cut the images on the top half of the panel,
leaving a white border. The stiched border was left at the bottom of the panel.
I stamped the banner on another panel. Once colored, with Copic markers,
I used light blue B01 and B00 for a soft and subtle shadow around the banners.
To get a similar soft shading behind the images I used
Distress ink Tumbled Glass, blended with a blending brush!

I assembled the two stitched panels using double sided tape and
glue for the smaller parts. I matted the panels on black cardstock
and then on to white, popping it on foam dots for dimension on the card base!
To finish off the card I used a white gel pen for the polka
dots on the banners, party hats and the ribbons on the
boxes. I applied a light wash of Wink of Stella on the
balloons and to the frosting on the cake!
The sentiment is from the "Many Everyday messages" set by Hero Arts.
Thank you for stopping by today!
