Valentine besties card #3!

2019-02-16 18:31 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

I have one last Galentine´s card to share!
Once again I used the ”Besties” stamp from the new Curvy Girls
collection from Stampingbella, so perfect for this occasion!

I don´t use patterned paper the way I used to before,
and I got a little tired of my old papers and ordered
this beautiful 6”x6” pad ”Flora No.2” by Carta Bella.
With my new patterned papers ready to go on a
pretty card, I chose the patterned paper first, letting
that paper decide what colors to use for their dresses.
But in the end I changed my mind and went for another
color combination instead. It worked out even better!

The Besties were colored with Copic markers,
fussy cut and placed inside a photo, using the
”Photo mat die” from Avery Elle.

For the background I used Distress Ink
Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick
and just a little touch of Black Soot, to darken
the red (Candied Apple) at the bottom, I blended
them together with my ink blending tool and finished
it of splashing some droplets of water to it!

I added a little Stickles for some glitter on the flowers!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy mail!

Today I share yet another Valentine´s card,
or maybe I should say Galentine´s card,
as I am sending it to a dear girl friend!

For this card I used ”Harry the Stuffie gets happy mail”
from Stampingbella. I colored him with Copic markers,
fussy cut and placed him inside the photo, using the
”Photo mat die” from Avery Elle. The sentiment comes
with Harry and I thought it was perfect to
stamp it on the frame of the photo!

I purchased the Photo mat die for a friend for Christmas
but decided I needed one myself too (without borrowing
it from her, trying it out) and I am so pleased with it!

I have only used it for a few cards yet but already
it feels like such a great purchase! It has all these inlays as
ground, sky and clouds which I will play with later!
Love it when there are many options!

For the background I used Distress Ink Candied Apple
and Distress Oxide inks Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry,
I blended them with my ink blending tool and finished
it of splashing some droplets of water to it!

To frame the background and image I used
a Scallop edge frame, such a cute detail!

Thanks for stopping by!

Today I share another Valentine card using the "Besties" stamp
from the new Curvy Girls collection from Stampingbella!

They are just adorable and so much fun to color!

Images and the blue shadow were colored with Copic markers!

The heart die is from the "Tag along" die collection set by
Clearly Besotted. I colored the heart with the same
Copics I used for the yellow/orange dress.

 Copics used for the yellow/orange dress: YR04, Y15, Y17

Valentine Crocs!

Hi there!

I just had to make a Valentine´s card using the sweet crocs
from the "Happy Snappy Crocs" set from Heffy Doodle!

There are so many fun options coming with this
stamp set, there are three crocodiles, a lots of accessories
to choose from, like a heart, a bottle of wine,
a slice of cake and a camera amongst other things!

For the small picture frames I used three of the four dies from
the "Mini picture frames" die set from Lawn Fawn.
The backdrop was made using the "Watercolor stripes " stencil
by Avery Elle and Distress inks! I applied a thick coat of Glossy Accent
to the hearts and a coat of Wink of Stella in color clear to the crocodiles!

Images were colored with Copic markers.
I am sorry that I couldn´t get a better picture of the front of
the card as shown above. The flash reflected on the glitter from
the Wink of Stella, but I wanted to share it anyway.

Thank you for stopping by!

I colored the image with Copic markers, then I fussy
cut the image and placed it in a die cut photo frame,
using the "Photo Mat" die from Avery Elle.

30 Day Coloring Challenge of 2019, #1!

2019-01-31 22:29 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

Its time for me to color some tags!

Tomorrow starts another 30 day coloring challenge,
hosted by Kathy! This time the challenge runs
from Feb 1-28 but will still be called the
30 Day Coloring Challenge, even if its just 28 days!

THE GOAL OF THE CHALLENGE is to color something daily,
even if it’s a few minutes, but certainly not required.
It’s an ‘anything goes’ challenge; color whatever you feel
inspired to do. Some days you will have more time than
others but, it’s just about adding more time to color
and carve out a little time for you!

If you want to participate you can jump in at any time
during the challenge. If you miss a few days don’t
feel like you have to catch up.

You can read more about this fun challenge on Kathy´s blog!

I have die cut and stamped the tags ahead of time,
for the convenience for me to just pick and chose,
depending on how much time I have to color each day!

This time I will be using the ”Tag along die collection”
from Clearly Besotted. It is one of my favorite tag die sets,
a little pricey was my first thought when ordering it,
but so worth every cent, I quickly realized once I started using it!

This is a ten piece set, which includes three tag dies, one
bow, two edges, three shapes and one hole reinforcer.

My ambition is to share the tags I colored from the
previous week, on Monday (Tuesday the latest) of every
week of the challenge here on the blog.

On Instagram I will post one tag every day of the challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sending love!

Have you ever seen a cuter bunny, riding
a scooter, delivering Valentine cards?

This super adorable bunny is from the ”Sending love 2019”
digi stamp set now available from Isabel Cristina on Etsy!
The ”Sending love 2019” set includes several images and sentiments!

After downloading my image I resized it to fit my card and
then printed it out! I colored the image with Copic markers,
fussy cut it, ready to be adhered to the background once finished.

For the background I blended Distress inks, Spun Sugar
and Picked Raspberry. I covered my background with a
heart stencil and applied yet another, heavier layer of Picked Raspberry
for the hearts to show. I then splashed some droplets of
water to finish off my background!

I adhered the bunny to my background, I applied
a thick coat of Glossy Accents to the scooter, for a metal finish!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Clean & simple flower card!

Hi there!

Some occasions requires a clean and simple flower card!

I really need to make a few more to have
on hand for occasions when a cute critter card won´t do!

This beautiful lily stamp is from the Mini
stamp set "Thank you friend", from Gina K.
It was colored with Copic markers.

I think this dark pink/orange color combo is
perfect for both masculine and feminine cards!

The sentiment stamp is from Gummiapan.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Lovable Bears!

For today´s card I have used one of the cute bears from
the "Lovable bears" digi stamp set from Isabel Cristina,
now available in her Etsy shop

image 0

Her digi stamp sets are really value for money
as they include several images and sentiments!

I have used the bear at the top on the left
hand side of the sheet for this card.

I decided to use an image only, no sentiment,
therefore I chose the bear to be quite large in size.

I colored the bear with Copic markers, the background was
colored with Distress Inks and droplets of water when finished!

For lots of shimmer on the heart,
I applied Wink of Stella, the colorless one!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Star Fairy!

2019-01-20 19:03 | 0 kommentarer

My mission for 2019 will be to continue to make cards
and tags using lots of colors. This card was made
using different shades of blue/turquoise/teal.

I wanted this card to have some kind of dimension,
so I put a small piece of a cloud in front of her feet!

I used the adorable "Star Fairy" Digi Stamp,
from Little Blue Button Stamps.

I colored her with Copic markers, added lots of
glitter to her wings to make them sparkle! I also added
some Stickles along the edges of the clouds!

Thank you for stopping by!

Friendly Floral Tag!

2019-01-17 23:09 | 0 kommentarer

Today I share a tag made using one of the
prettiest flower stamps sets I know!

It is the "Friendly Florals" set by Neat & Tangled.
This is my first time inking them up and coloring them,
I went for pink markers, apparently my go-to, safe bet color!

I love how they look like cherry blossoms!
I colored the images and the shadows with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from the "Brushed Wishes" set
by Stampendous and the tag die is from the
"Tag Along Die Collection" set by Clearly Besotted.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Unicorn Card!

2019-01-12 18:31 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

Happy to share my very first card as a
Design Team member for Isabel Cristina

These adorable digi stamps are from the "Unicorn Birthday" set,
head over to her Etsy shop for purchase!

This was my very first experience coloring a unicorn,
I have to admit I had to do some research before I
decided to go for a colorful mane!

I thought I share a quick, very basic guide on how I
layered the unicorn and the cake images.
As I don´t have Photoshop, I work in Word on my PC.

First I marked, not open my inicorn image, I actually
chose the JPG format not the PNG as the picture shows.
I then copied and pasted the image in a Word document.

Mark the image to crop it, then you´ll be able to resize it smaller
or larger more easily. I then did the same steps with my cake image.

To be able to move the image around to where you
want it, chose option #2 on the Layout options tab.

Next step is to remove the image´s background, mark the
image you want to the remove the background from, under Picture Tools
on the Format tab in the adjust group click "remove background".
The bright pink color shows what areas that will be removed.

Sometimes you have to add areas you want to remove,
click the "mark areas to include" option and mark the
areas on the image with the little pencil marker on the screen.

When the backgrounds are removed you can layer
the images, mark the image you want to place in front
by chosing the "send to front" option. When happy
with the placements of your chosen images, print them out!

So much fun to layer the images, it´s kind of like masking but easier!

I colored my images with Copic Markers.
As the sentiment says "Hope your day is filled with Unicorns
and glitters" I just had to add lots of glitter!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Yay- Happy Birthday!

2019-01-06 21:20 | 0 kommentarer

I have a lot of family and friend´s
birthdays coming up this time of year.

For this birthday card I used the bunny and two
of the word banners from the "Party Pals" set from Avery Elle!

The background was colored with Distress
Inks and droplets of water. I used a white
gel pen for the polka dots on the letters!

Images were colored with Copic markers!

Thank you for stopping by today!
