Star Fairy!

2019-01-20 19:03 | 0 kommentarer

My mission for 2019 will be to continue to make cards
and tags using lots of colors. This card was made
using different shades of blue/turquoise/teal.

I wanted this card to have some kind of dimension,
so I put a small piece of a cloud in front of her feet!

I used the adorable "Star Fairy" Digi Stamp,
from Little Blue Button Stamps.

I colored her with Copic markers, added lots of
glitter to her wings to make them sparkle! I also added
some Stickles along the edges of the clouds!

Thank you for stopping by!

Friendly Floral Tag!

2019-01-17 23:09 | 0 kommentarer

Today I share a tag made using one of the
prettiest flower stamps sets I know!

It is the "Friendly Florals" set by Neat & Tangled.
This is my first time inking them up and coloring them,
I went for pink markers, apparently my go-to, safe bet color!

I love how they look like cherry blossoms!
I colored the images and the shadows with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from the "Brushed Wishes" set
by Stampendous and the tag die is from the
"Tag Along Die Collection" set by Clearly Besotted.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Unicorn Card!

2019-01-12 18:31 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

Happy to share my very first card as a
Design Team member for Isabel Cristina

These adorable digi stamps are from the "Unicorn Birthday" set,
head over to her Etsy shop for purchase!

This was my very first experience coloring a unicorn,
I have to admit I had to do some research before I
decided to go for a colorful mane!

I thought I share a quick, very basic guide on how I
layered the unicorn and the cake images.
As I don´t have Photoshop, I work in Word on my PC.

First I marked, not open my inicorn image, I actually
chose the JPG format not the PNG as the picture shows.
I then copied and pasted the image in a Word document.

Mark the image to crop it, then you´ll be able to resize it smaller
or larger more easily. I then did the same steps with my cake image.

To be able to move the image around to where you
want it, chose option #2 on the Layout options tab.

Next step is to remove the image´s background, mark the
image you want to the remove the background from, under Picture Tools
on the Format tab in the adjust group click "remove background".
The bright pink color shows what areas that will be removed.

Sometimes you have to add areas you want to remove,
click the "mark areas to include" option and mark the
areas on the image with the little pencil marker on the screen.

When the backgrounds are removed you can layer
the images, mark the image you want to place in front
by chosing the "send to front" option. When happy
with the placements of your chosen images, print them out!

So much fun to layer the images, it´s kind of like masking but easier!

I colored my images with Copic Markers.
As the sentiment says "Hope your day is filled with Unicorns
and glitters" I just had to add lots of glitter!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Yay- Happy Birthday!

I have a lot of family and friend´s
birthdays coming up this time of year.

For this birthday card I used the bunny and two
of the word banners from the "Party Pals" set from Avery Elle!

The background was colored with Distress
Inks and droplets of water. I used a white
gel pen for the polka dots on the letters!

Images were colored with Copic markers!

Happy New Year & Uptown Girls!

2018-12-31 17:50 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

Sharing my last card of 2018 and
wishing you all a Happy New Year!

A while ago I saw an amazing card made by
she had stamped and masked six different ladies!
I had to try that myself using some of my
Uptown Girls from Stampingbella!

I stamped my Uptown Girls on printer paper and
cut them out, not careful at all, I just needed the images so that
I would know where to place each image.
When happy with their placement I took a piece of
scotch tape, and taped them together to keep them in place!

I then numbered each image to remember
in which order to stamp them.

Stamp, mask, repeat!

Images were colored with Copic markers!

It took me a while to color, but
so happy with how they turned out!

Happy New Year!

Kimono Girl!

2018-12-29 18:44 | 0 kommentarer

This is my second and last card as Guest Designer for
the Little Blue Button Stamps for the month of December!

For today´s card I have colored the cutest little Geisha, “Kimono Girl”.

My idea for this card was lots of color!
I colored the image with Copic markers and outlined it with
a grey shadow but wanted to add something more to the background.

But nothing too busy to take away the focus from
the Geisha. I decided to add some multi
colored stripes, to match the color of her kimono.

I used the “Watercolor stripes” stencil from Altenew
and colored the stripes with Distress inks.

To match my image, I colored a piece of card stock with
Distress inks, the same colors I used for my stripes,
as a background, which I attached to the card base.

I am so happy for the opportunity to have been Guest Designer
with the Little Blue Button Stamps, thanks for having me Olga!

Copics used for her hair: N6, N8, 100, BV004

Copics used for her skin: E00, E04, E11, E21

Copics used for her kimono: RV06, RV17, RV19, R29, YR04, Y17, Y15

Copics used for the fox: E08, E09, E97, YR21

Last Christmas Cards for 2018!

2018-12-23 22:28 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

Today I share my last Christmas cards for 2018!

I love this adorable  "Winter Wear", stamp set from Concord and 9th!
I had so much fun playing with it and coloring it!

I colored the images with Copic markers.

The backgrounds were also so much fun to make! It took me a
while as there were quite a few steps to follow before they were
done, but I love how they turned out!

I heat embossed the snow flakes, from the "Snow Flakes" set from
Avery Elle, on a piece of white card stock, using three different
embossing powders. Turquoise, silver and gun metal for these
teal/green cards. I then went over them with Distress Inks.

White, gold and pink embossing powders were used on this pink card!

Red, gold and gun metal embossing powders were used on these red cards!

These red cards was the first ones I made using this stamp set.

I was inspired by @nicholspohr for the backgrounds,
as her beautiful red and green snow flake cards just blew me away!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Merry Christmas!

Zodiac Girl Leo!

2018-12-22 00:10 | 0 kommentarer

Hello there!

For today´s Christmas cards I have used non Christmas
stamps to create Christmas like/feel scenes.

I was so inspired by Amy Young and her incredible work, using
"Uptown Zodiac Girl Leo", from Stampingbella,
where she masked of Leo´s lion ears.
I loved that idea and the furry coat!

The house stamp, is from the "Cottage Home" set from
The Waltzing Mouse Stamps.
I have had it for years but haven´t used it in a very long time,
I thought they would make a great combo!

Of course I had to let Miss Leo have a pink coat and pink boots!
I love how it turned out, and hope the recipient of the card loves it as much!

I also used the "Leo" stamp making A2 size cards,
I colored the coats in greys and browns, the tree is from the
"On thin ice" set from Clearly Besotted.

Backgrounds on all of the cards were colored using Distress inks,
I colored the images with Copic markers.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the "On thin ice" set.
The God Jul sentiment is from Gummiapan.

Christmas is coming!

2018-12-19 22:49 | 0 kommentarer

I have made so many different Christmas cards this year!
I did a lot of masking on many of them, and I almost always
stamp at least two of the same as it often is quite time
consuming with the masking, figuring out where to put
the different images and in which order.

Couldn´t have managed without my Misti!

One of the most adorable stamp sets this season is from Hello Bluebird!
Super cute critters and lovely sentiments from the "Christmas is coming" set!

I colored the images and snowy ground with Copic markers!

Holiday Girl!

Hi there!

I am so excited to be Guest Designer with
Little Blue Button Stamps for the month of December,
thanks for having me Olga!

My first project is a card where I have used the
"Mix Media Holiday Girl" digital stamp.

I love digi stamps as you can change the size of the image
to fit your project! I chose this lovely stamp as one of my
favorite things to color is skin and hair!

My first idea for this card was to give her a bright red top
and a red scarf to make her ready for Christmas!

I started coloring her hair in a brown, red-ish tone and when I was finished,
I reconsidered the bright red top and went for a more neutral one instead!

To give my card a sense of warmth I chose kraft cardstock instead
of white. I used Copic markers to color the image!

Copics used for her hair: E09, E15, E97
Copics used for her skin: E00, E04, E11, E21
Copics used for her top: W1, W2, W3, W5, W7

Sentiment stamp: Brushed Wishes from Stampendous

Rooftop Reindeer!

2018-12-10 19:22 | 0 kommentarer

How adorable are these reindeer?!!! Nostalgia sweeps over me!

For these cards I have used stamps from two different brands!

The reindeer are from the "Rooftop reindeer" set, from Hello Bluebird,
and the tree is from the "Cozy Christmas" set from Mama Elephant!

All images and background were colored with Copic markers!

Of course I had to color the tree on one of the cards pink!
I added lots of glitter to the trees, in lack of ornaments!

I can´t decide which tree I like better....
the green one is beautiful but the pink one turned out pretty awesome!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Blue and pink Elves!

2018-12-08 18:12 | 0 kommentarer

My mission lately has been to incorporate more color on
my cards and these particular ones I am very pleased
with, as this is as colorful as it gets!

A really clean and simple design. I heat embossed the sentiment,
colored the panels with Distress inks using my ink
blending tool and splashed droplets of water on to the Distress ink.

I added strips of black and white striped paper.
The cute elves were colored with Copic markers,
no fussy cutting as I used my Scan n Cut

I then popped the elves on to foam pads on to the panels. Finished!

Both the elf stamp, "BB Santa´s elves" and the sentiment stamp,
"Merry Christmas Greeting" are from My Favorite Things!

Wedding Card!

2018-11-21 23:13 | 0 kommentarer

A few days ago I was asked to make a wedding card,
the request were Uptown girl with handsome guy and a wedding cake!

Some masking and a bit of altering took place before I could
start to color! I used two stamps from Stampingbella,
"Brett and Brenda" and "Bianca has a big cake", without Bianca
as I was only interested in her cake for this card!

I got to chose the colors myself, and light pink, light grey
and white were a perfect match for this occasion!

I colored the images with Copic markers,
added a few coats of Wink of Stella to the frosting
on the cake for a beautiful, elegant shimmer!

Thank you for stopping by!
