Little ballerinas!

2018-03-13 12:26 | 0 kommentarer

How adorable are these little ballerinas?!!!
They are so much fun to color, with lots of skin, hair and a pretty dress!

And a great thing...this is a free digi stamp from All Dressed Up!

The polka dots on the tutus are made using a white gel pen.
My white gel pens dont´t seem to last very long, they tend to dry out
in no time. I always have to have a spare pen just in case...

I think polka dots make everything prettier!

Images and backgrounds are colored with Copic markers.

As you may notice looking a little closer I did color the backgrounds a
little different from each other, but using the same markers.
I used B 00-01-02 for the outline and C01-03 , for the ground.

Happy Birthday Cats!

2018-03-09 11:41 | 0 kommentarer

Today I have two birthday cards to share!
Made using the same stamps from Basik & Co,
but the layout, design and colors differs a little.

I like black details and on this first card I added a thin
strip of black cardstock in between the image and the dotted paper.

I matted it on a turqouise piece of
cardstock, to go with the outlines of the images!

I added a thick layer of Stickles to the frosting of the cake.

On this card I matted the image and striped patterned paper
on black cardstock, and then on turquoise!

On this card I colored the cake pink, and added some Stickles!

I adore these cats and I love the cherry on top of the cake!

All images are colored with Copic markers,
the sentiments on both cards are from the
"Many Everyday Messages" set from Hero Arts.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hello, city girl!

2018-03-05 12:58 | 0 kommentarer

 I have been making 14 x 14 cm (5.5" x 5.5") size cards with very
few exceptions for the last 10 years. (And mini cards of course!)

Now I have started making cards in for me a new size!
I have purchased beautiful colorful enevelopes from MFT
to fit my "new" cards!

I love my square cards and I will of course alter between these sizes,
but right now it feels so different and fun making cards
in 10.5 x 13.5 cm (4 3/8" x 5 3/4") size!

This pretty lady is a digi stamp from Lily of The Valley, Miss March.
I colored the brick wall using the "Small brick wall" stencil from MFT
with Distress Ink, Picked Raspberry which I faded out to white on the cardstock.

The brick wall was a perfect match to her outfit!
First I tried her standing on a green grassy field with a clear
blue sky behind but felt she was more of a city girl and
that she needed a more city like background!

A new to me card size, first time coloring pants with a
leather look and her cardigan and first time coloring leopard print!

Miss March is colored with Copic markers!

Copics used for the pants: R 22-27-59, C7 and a white pencil for the highlights.

Tag dies!

2018-03-01 17:12 | 0 kommentarer

Today I share which dies I use for my tags.

This was the first tag die I purchased, even though it looks quite
big in the photo it is pretty small, it measures 4.75 x 8.25 cm,
(3 1/4 x 1 4/5 inch).

Below is a tag made with that "Embellished tag" from Mama Elephant.

Next is a set called "Terrific tag" from Bo Bunny,
a set of six dies, all the same shape, in six different sizes.

So far I have only been using the two larger ones.
What I like most about it is the size of the largest one, as it
measures 7 x 11 cm (2.75 x 4.25 inch), the second largest
measures 5,75 x 9.25 cm ( 2.2 x 3.6 inch)

Below is a tag made using the largest die from the set.

I adore the next set, "Decorative Tag set" from Gina K
as it has these stitches along the edges and that it
comes in four different sizes and shapes.

I have only been using the two larger ones as
the smaller have been too small for my projects.

The largest measures  5.75 x 10 cm (2.5 x 4 inch)
and the second largest measures 4.25 x 8 cm (1.625 x 3.125 inch).

Below is a tag made using the largest die...

...and below is a tag made using the second largest.

The last set on my list is my latest purchase and I
feel like I have my need of tag dies covered for now!

This fantastic set "Tag along die collection" is from Clearly Besotted Stamps.
At first glance I felt that it was a bit pricey, but I soon decided that I "needed" it!

When I received it I quickly realized that it is amazing!
This is a 10 piece set and the possibilities are almost endless!

The tags are good size, 6 x 10 cm ( 2.3 x 3.93 inch), three
different shapes, all of them with stiched edges.
You can also die cut stitched rectangles, squares, a heart and and even a bow!

And the coolest thing about this set... you can use the tag just as it is
or alter the lower part die cutting a fish tale or a curve!!!
It required a little measuring before I got it right, but the result is the coolest!!!

When realizing all the possibilities that comes with this
die set it don´t seem pricey anymore!

Below is a tag made using the fish tail and the heart shaped die...

And below are the three different shapes from this fabulous die set!

(All images were colored with Copic markers.)

Lots of cats!

2018-02-26 13:14 | 0 kommentarer

My first idea when planning this card was a bunch
of cats and two signs.

Along the process of making the card
I then added the trees, the flowers and the little bird! I really
like coloring these wooden signs, the card get so personal
when you add a name to them!

For this card I have been using the cats from the
"Fluffy Furball" set from Clearly Besotted.

I wanted some of the cats to peak from behind the hill/the grass!

Images are colored with Copic markers, see the list of
markers I used for the cats at the end of this post!

My vision when making this card was lots of details and colors!

Copics used for the grey cats: C 01-02-04, N 6, B 01

Copics used for the red/grey cats: N 6, C 01-02-04, E 08-97, B 01

Lots of tags!

The 30 days of "The 30 Day Coloring Challenge" went by so fast and was so much fun!

I am so pleased with my idea of die cutting the tags and stamping them in advance,
as it saved a lot of time and I was able to pick and chose from day to day!

I discovered a new to me stamp brand, the cute cats (and mice)
from Basik and Co, which I borrowed from a dear crafty friend!

Above is a selection of the tags I colored using images from Stampingbella!

Most of the tags have been listed in my Etsy shop!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Tags, day 22-30!

Here are my last tags for this challenge! Days 22-30. As always this is such a
nice challenge to participate in, hosted by the lovely Kathy. She is incredible in
cheering us on and commenting on our coloring, together with
her ambassodors, each and every day!

I managed to color a tag for each of the 30 days, day one I said that I
was just going to color, and not finish the tags as I felt that it would take me too long,
but I quickly discovered that I had to finish them and that it didn´t take that long.

I am glad I did and it has been so much fun seeing my stash of tags
grow in number for each day passing!

What are you going to do with your tags, some Instagram friends have asked... well, it is nice to have some at hand, but most of them I am gonna list in my Etsy shop!

If you are interested in purchasing head over to my shop,
I will have them listed by this weekend!

All tags are colored with Copic markers! I have used different ribbons
but this black and white twine on all of them!

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

More Valentine Cats!

2018-02-15 12:46 | 0 kommentarer

I made three different Valentine cards using these cute cats from Basik & Co,
so sweet with their hearts on their chests and their flowers!

I like the size of the cats, with lots of fur to color and they are not too detailed!

I altered their tiny mouths just a little...
was going for a smile but realized that I have to practice more and
not on an already colored one!
I didn´t want to ruin
them so I just drew tiny lines.

This is my favorite, walking with his head held high carrying his flower!

All images are colored with Copic markers,
as well as the grass and the blue "sky" beyond!

I added tiny dots of Stickles to the hearts and flowers, the sentiments
are from the  "Many everyday messages" set from Hero Arts.

Tiny cats Valentine´s card!

2018-02-14 12:00 | 0 kommentarer

Valentine´s card with a Kitty Crew, made using some of
the cats from the "Little Cat Agenda" set from Mama Elephant!

Some masking took place making this card!
I chose the cats with the heart shaped balloon,
the pencil and the little love letter for this card.

I could have made this little crew bigger by adding more cats,
but when do you stop? Sometimes I think its hard to know
when to stop adding more especially
when using tiny images like these on a larger card.

Images are colored with Copic markers, a touch of Stickles are
added to the balloons, and the hearts on the envelopes!

Wishing you all a Happy Valentine´s Day!
Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you card!

2018-02-09 13:49 | 0 kommentarer

I have made this thank-you card, using an old but favorite stamp
from Kraftin´Kimmie Stamps. The fun thing about this stamp is that I
often use it when I need a Thank-you card!  I can´t say why,
other than the fact that she looks happy and full of life!!!

I usually color her dress in bright, vivid colors, like pinks, purples, reds and
orange, but this time I wanted to try a completely new to me, color combination.

I have had this in the back of my mind for a long time,
turqoise and muted browns and I am so happy with the result.
They make a great combo!

She is colored with Copic markers,
see the list of the markers I used at the end of this post.

The background is colored using Distress Inks and some water droplets!

The alphabet die letters are " Moxie" from QuicKutz.

I found this golden brown cardstock in my scrap box,
it was the perfect color to match the dress and the striped paper!

I added a coat of shimmer to the dress, using a clear Spectrum Noir!

Copics used for her hair: YR 23-27 R59

Copics used for her skin: E00-04-11-21

Copics used for her dress: E41-43-44-47, BG 11-45-57-75

Day 18, stamp: Basik & Co

Day 19, stamp: Stampingbella

Day 20, stamp: Basik & Co

Day 21, stamp: Stampingbella

Pink & red Valentine´s card!

2018-01-30 14:15 | 0 kommentarer

Today I share a little step-by-step guide on the
masking process when making this Valentine´s Card!

I just love this sweet Tiny Townie "Penelope has a pencil" stamp,
from Stampingbella, and I love that little Hi stamp that comes with it!

As I don´t have a Happy Valentine´s Day stamp I printed out the sentiment
on my Copic friendly cardstock (Vision Pro), the font I used is
American Typewriter, to match the Hi stamp!

I then stamped the image and colored it with Copic markers.
I think reds and pinks are such a pretty color combination!
The image on the right hand side is a mask (stamped on Stamping Mask
paper from Inkadinkado and fussy cut) for the actual image.

I die cut a circle from masking paper and placed it over the masked image
and put a strip of post-it note at the bottom. I then inked the inside of the
circle using Distress Inks, Festive Berries and Picked Raspberry.

When finished blending the Distress Inks I removed the strip of
post-it and the masking paper for the circle.

The most exciting part of the masking process is when removing the
masking paper from the image! I always manage to get small (tiny)
areas of white from placing the masking paper a little off, I use a matching
Copic marker for these white areas and no one can ever tell!

I applied a coat of Clear Spectrum Noir to the big pen to make it shimmer!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Day 10, stamp: Kraftin´Kimmie Stamps

Day 11, stamp: Create a Smile Stamps

Day 12, stamp: Stampingbella

Day 13, stamp: Basik & Co

Day 14, stamp: Stampingbella

Day 11 and the Tag it Challenge!

2018-01-26 22:44 | 4 kommentarer

For Day 11 of the 30 day coloring challenge I colored a tag
with the sweet little nurse mouse from Create a Smile Stamps!
It is also my entry for the new challenge over on the
Create a Smile Stamps blog!
I am so excited that they are doing challenges now!

Here is my tag!

I did some masking with the teacup, the little doctor´s
bag and the mouse from the "Doctor´s Helpers" set.
The sentiment stamp is also from the same set.

Both the background and the images are colored with Copic markers.

The striped paper, (a bit shiny in the photo, sorry about that) is from the
"Spots & Stripes  Brights" paper pad from Sugar Pea Design.
The tag die is from the "Terrific tag" die set from Bo Bunny.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Tags, day 1-7!

2018-01-22 10:47 | 0 kommentarer

These are my tags from the first week of the
30 Day Coloring Challenge, hosted by lovely Kathy!

My tags from day 1-7, I am so happy that I chose to go with tags this time.
I want to be able to participate every day if it is possible, and tags are a
manageable project for me. Last time I just colored stamped images randomly,
I don´t like to color up things in advance, to use later on cards.
I want to pick and chose images and color combinations as I go when making cards!

Day 1, stamp: Stampingbella

Day 2, stamp: Kraftin´ Kimmie Stamps

Day 3, stamp: Art Impressions

Day 4, stamp: Clearly Besotted

Day 5, stamp: Stampingbella

Day 6, stamp: Basik & Co

Day 7, stamp: Basik & Co

I have colored these tags using Copic markers, on some
I have added white gel pen for dots, Glossy accents or Stickles!

Thank you for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!
