This card is another personalized custom order!

My idea behind this card was soft muted colors and celebrating
60 with a glass of bubbly! The first stamp that came to mind
was Uptown Girls, "Victoria and Juliette" from
Stampingbella, so I altered the stamped image and used only Juliette (!?).

According to my research in Swedish interior design trends
this season, grey is out and "greige" is in!
That was my foundation, the card base in a soft grey/beige hue.
The name and year was printed to fit the image.

I wanted some elements to be curved as so much is rectangle
shaped and straight on this card. So this is what I did...

...I colored a piece of card stock using the same Copics as used on the dress,
punched the edges with this Fiskar´s scallop edge border punch and cut to thin strips.

But as I didn´t wan´t the holes to show...I attached the strips
closely along the edge of the rectangle piece, close enough to cover the holes!

I looked through my stash of paper and found this beautiful flower
patterned paper that was a perfect match.

Copics used for the dress: BG 93-96-99

Fuzzy bunnies!

Today I share some fuzzy bunnies!
The adorable bunny stamp is from the "Bunny Balloons" set from Whimsy Stamps.

I was so inspired by Sandy Allnock and her amazing coloring of
fuzzy bunnies and this is my take on the fuzzy bunny technique!

The bunnies are colored with warm grey Copic markers
and a grey pencil for the hair.

The image is stamped with grey ink to get that soft look!

I wanted to try this technique and I think the bunnies turned out
super cute but I don´t feel this is someting I´ll do very often,
as for me it was a bit time consuming drawing all these tiny hairs!

Copics used for the bunnies: W 1-2-3

Sorry for being MIA for the last week and a half, I am on vacation having no access
to my craft supplies, this card was made just before leaving!

This card was a special, custom order, a little bit of a challenge,
due to a lot of masking and fussy cutting but so much fun to make!

The prompts to follow were: colors black and yellow, cats and hearts!

I love to make these ”wooden” signs to make cards personalized!

The recipient of the card is a huge fan of the Swedish team AIK and
this little gang of cats are supporters to the team, hence
the yellow and black scarves and the hat!

The cat stamp is from the ”BB Cool Cat” set from My Favorite Things,
they were colored with Copic markers, the wooden sign was also colored
with Copic markers, the rays in the background was made using
Distress ink and the ”Sun Ray” stencil also from MFT. The scarves were
hand drawn and carefully fussy cut to fit the images!

Thank you so much for stoppning by!

Thank you Fairy card!

For today´s card I have used yet another adorable little fairy!
These little fairies are so stinkin´ cute and they all melt my heart!

This is "Fairy and Puppy" from Whimsy Stamps.
They are so much fun to color and those wings are
perfect for adding lots of glitter!

I am still working my way through the Kit and Clowder Clothing Class,
I know I need to focus on the last few lessons and practice,
practice, practice, but I am so happy with what I have learnt so far!

A year ago I didn´t know how to color this skirt to make
it this puffy with beautiful folds and pleats.

If you feel you need to improve on your coloring skills
(both alcohol markers and colored pencils) or just want
to learn new techniques, I really recommend taking an online
class from Alyce´s Kit and Clowder, she is an
amazing teacher and sweet person!

Images are colored with Copic markers, and Stickles are added to her wings!

Just because!

Just because cards are the best! You can send it for no
special reason or occasion other than just because!

I love sending just because cards as the recipients don´t expect it!
So brighten up someone´s day by sending them a card, just because!

This is one of my favorite stamps, Uptown Girl "Bubbles",  from Stampingbella.

I think this image is perfect for a just becase card!

Colored with Copic markers and lots of Stickles added to the bubbles!

This card is now listed in my Etsy shop!

Big Hugs Bunny!

This little bunny melts my heart!
I love the new "Bunny Balloons" set from Whimsy Stamps!

I have colored the bunny using warm greys instead of
the cold greys I usually reach for when coloring anything grey.
I really like the softness of the warm tones!

The fluffy cloud is made using the cloud die from the
"Landscape Trio" set from Mama Elephant.
The edges are lightly colored with Distress Ink, Tumbled Glass.

And of course I couldn´t resist adding polka dots
with a white gel pen to the balloons!

The big hugs sentiment is from the
"Many Everyday Messages" set from Hero Arts.

The Copics used for the bunny W 01-02-03.

Spring Birthday Girl!

2018-04-18 22:25 | 0 kommentarer

Today I share another birthday card made using Uptown Girl
"Brittany the birthday girl" from Stampingbella!

I had to try my brand new Copic markers on the dress!

This blue-ish/green combo is so beautiful and soft and it gave
the dress a feeling of spring, like faded denim! I added lots and lots
of clear Spectrum noir, to get a beautiful shimmer on the dress!

These very simple flowers, attached to the panel with brads are
made using punches. I usually just punch out two layers and very
carefully curl the top layer petals.

On this card I punched out two layers of paper for each flower,
the bottom petals in black cardstock and the upper ones in patterned paper,
I then glued two petals together to get more sturdy flowers.

I am so pleased with how it turned out, and I like the fact that
you just get a glimpse of the black bottom petals!

I always attach the inside panels last one the cards I am sending and
write my greetings on it before attaching it to the card,
if I mess it up in some way, its easy to just cut new panels!

Copics used for the dress: B 12-24-28, G 00-02-17

Personalized Stamps!

2018-04-15 18:08 | 0 kommentarer

I have wanted a new personalized stamp for the back of
my cards for so long, but couldn´t decide how I wanted it to look...
The only thing I was sure about was that I wanted my blog name on it.
I went back and forth whether to add my name and my Instagram name or not...

At last I decided to go with my name, my blog name, blog adress
and Instagram name and I am sooo happy with how it turned out!

I love the scripty font on "my piece of paper" and that the rest is strict!
So happy with it that I had to get matching adress stamps for my envelopes too!

I ordered my custom stamps from the
Swedish company Rox Stamps.

The customer service is excellent, Anna-Lena was so quick to
respond to all my questions and requests by e-mail!
You can order directly from the web site if you are a customer
from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland or Åland.

Customers from other countries, please contact Anna-Lena by e-mail! www.roxstamps.se

As my street adress contains letters that are not common in
every language, like the Swedish letter ä, I ordered two stamps
for the envelopes, one for the cards I send to Swedish recipients and
one without the dots with just an a, for recipients in other countries,
and on that one I added Sweden as well!

You have a choice of getting your stamp made of rubber or
photopolymer (it looks like a clear stamp but needs to be mounted
to ez mount to be able to attach to an acrylic block).
The stamps I ordered are made of rubber.

The orders for the rubber stamp option are placed with the
manufacturer around the 30th of the month.

When ordering a custom stamp ask for a proof,
and it goes without saying that it is super important to spell check
the proof as this is a personalized item which can´t be returned or refunded.

Birthday Fairy!

I adore these cute little fairies from Whimsy stamps!
I like that these images are detailed but not too
busy and that the details are not too tiny!

This is "Fairy Gifts for You"!
So easy to make a CAS card with this sweet heart!

Image and background colored with Copic markers!
Lots of glitter added to the wings!

Balloon Bunny!

How adorable is this little bunny?!!!
Hanging on to his balloon high up in the fluffy clouds!
This cutie is from the "Bunny Balloons" set from Whimsy Stamps!

When coloring grey I always use my cool grey Copics,
but for this image I tried my warm greys and I really like the result
as it turned out softer compared to the cool tones.

I have to remember to bring out the warm grey markers more often!

I added some barely there clouds in the background, using a cloud
stencil from Hero Arts, Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass and a Mini Ink Blending tool.

I also had to add polka dots to the balloon with a white gel pen!

Thank you for stopping by!

Birthday Girl Brittany!

A lot of birthdays are coming up!
Time to get into that Birthday card making mode!

When making a card step one is always deciding
what colors I want for the image, then I go through my patterned
papers to find some that match my colored image.

I have, especially when participating in previous
30 Day Coloring Challenges, ended up with lots of colored images,
tried to get those colored images into cards...
But I don´t like making cards like that, that process doesn´t work for me!
That´s why I decided to color tags for the last 30 Day Coloring Challenge!

Chosing colors for that special card I am about to make is always
so much fun, should I go with soft, muted colors or bright and vivid ones?

For this card I decided to go with soft, muted tones of blue´s and grey´s
and wanted an additional color to compliment and pop
and found this beautiful soft red-ish patterned paper to go with my colored image!

The soft background is colored with Distress Inks,
unfortunately I don´t remember which color I used other than
Hickory Smoke, the other one might have been Tumbled Glass....

Image is Uptown Girl "Brittany" from Stampingbella,
she is colored with Copic markers.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I whish you a great weekend!

Welcome babies card!

2018-04-04 10:47 | 0 kommentarer

I was asked to make a baby (babies for twins!) card and dug
out this cute stork stamp from the "Plus one" set from Lawn Fawn.
Maybe they would be great on tags as well?!)

I didn´t want to color the whole background, just a little something...
as I was aiming for a sort of CAS look, so I added some barely
there clouds using a cloud stencil from Hero Arts, Distress ink
Tumbled Glass (used together with a light hand and a sponge dauber)
and a coat of Wink of Stella for shimmer!

I couldn´t resist adding polka dots to the pink blankets!

Images colored (very little coloring on this card!) with Copic markers.

Emboss resist challenge!

2018-04-02 22:42 | 4 kommentarer

There is a new challenge over at the Create a smile blog!

The emboss resist challenge means that its time to
play with Distress Inks, embossing powder and
my Create a smile stamps!

So far I only own one set of stamps
from Create a smile, the "Doctor´s Helpers" set, so there
is no question what to use for this challenge!

For this emboss resist card I have used black ink,
clear embossing powder, Distress Inks in Spun Sugar,
Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries, and my heat tool.

I was trying to create an ombré effect with the Distress Inks!
Sorry for the bad photos, the embossing was reflecting in
the flash of the camera, but at the same time you can
see that the outlines of the images are heat embossed!

I started out stamping the foxes in the middle and the sentiment underneath,
then I just randomly stamped the band aids and the pills...
it wasn´t until I was all finished that I noticed there were veeeery many pills!

This was such a different card for me to make, not using Copic markers!

Thank you for stopping by!

Uptown girl "Bianca has a big cake" from Stampingbella

First card using this stamp for my new card size!
