The Gardener!

2020-02-27 13:16 | 0 kommentarer

This card was so much fun to make!
I had this idea of a garland of flowers behind
Curvy Girl ”Gardener” from Stampingbella!

I cut a panel of Neenah Solar white to stamp my images on.
This card required a lot of masking! I made two masks
for the flower stamps, both sizes, and one mask for my
curvy girl. I started out by stamping the curvy girl,
applied the mask, to be able to stamp some flowers
behind her. I continued to stamp the flowers in a garland
shape, some behind and some in front of each other!

I colored the images with Copic markers. I often color a
blue shadow behind my colored images but this time I
decided to go with a light warm contour to make the
images pop! I grounded her using quite dark grey Copics.

I die cut a rectangle from my panel, using a stitched
rectangle die,
I adhered the remaining ”frame” onto a piece
of cardstock
the same size as the frame.

I used the same stitched die to cut a piece of black fun
foam for some dimension and to get a black edge! I adhered
the fun foam to the panel using double sided tape.

But sadly and super annoying, a few days after I had
mailed this card I discovered, when making another card that
the foam doesn´t work very well with my double sided tape
as it doesn´t hold on and started to come loose in several
places, even though I put the panels under a heavy box to
let the glue bond with the foam and the cardstock…

I adhered the large panel to a black slightly larger panel
to get a black outline matching the foam and finished
the card adhering it to my cardbase!

Next time I will use several panels for dimension
and a pop of color to make sure it won´t come off!

Hi there!

Love slimline card designs!
And I just love the "Balloon bunch buddies", by
Clearly Besotted! And they make the perfect match!

They are the cutest bunch of critters and it
makes me happy just looking at them!

This little gang is flying high, some are
holding on to that balloon string, some are
tied to it with knots and bows!

The images and the shading were colored with
Copic markers, the sentiment comes with the stamp set!

I applied some Wink of Stella to the
balloon and glued a few wooden stars to the
panel, to go with the sentiment!

I often find it hard to find matching envelopes for
my slimline cards, so I decided to make one myself.
It was quite easy, but for this card I needed to use two
A4 size papers and that complicated things a bit!
I will make another slimline card, slightly smaller and
make an envelope using only one A4 size
paper and do a tutorial on that!

Winter wishes!

One of my goals for 2020 is to make Christmas cards
throughout the year, well January to September that is, as
I usually start working on my Christmas cards in October.

Today I share the two cards I made for February!

The wreath is a digi stamp, "Winter wishes" from
Graciellie design! I colored it with Copi markers,
using a new to me pink color combo for the poinsettias,
RV66-55-52 and V000. Love how soft it is, just the perfect pinks!

I cut it out using my Scan n Cut, I fussy cut the inside!

I die cut a panel using a stitched rectangle die from MFT,
blended Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet
oxide inks. After letting the panel dry I stamped the sentiment
and heat embossed it using a fine  embossing powder
from Ranger. To finish the panel I splashed droplets of water to it!

I assembled layers of cardstock, using white and a soft
gold, to match the heat embossed sentiment, to the
card base. I adhered the wreath to the pink panel using
foam dots for some dimension. I applied Wink of Stella
to the poinsettias for a beautiful shimmer!

The sentiment stamp is from Gummiapan, it came
with the 2019 stamp advent calender and is
unfortunately not available for purchase.

Pearls in my hair!

I have wanted this digi stamp "Pearls in my hair",
by A day for daisies for such a long time!

I finally bought it a while back but haven´t had the time to color
it until a few days ago! This was my second try and I realise I need to
practice shadows on the spine and the shoulder blades, other
than that I love how it turned out!

The sentiment stamp is from the "Fancy sayings" set by
Clearly Besotted, the corners and dots stamp is from the
"FaDoodles"  clear stamp set by Whimsy Stamps.

The image and the blue shadow were colored with Copic markers.

Hello crafty friends!

I have a clean and simple card to share today!
The cute bunny is from the
"McGregor´s garden" set, by Hello Bluebird.

I have colored her with Copic markers and I
applied a little Stickles to the grass!

I have used a stitched frame, the "Gallery frame #1 die",
also by Hello Bluebird, and the scallop die is the
"Reverse stitched scallop rectangle window die", by Lawn Fawn.

Many everyday messages!

I just couldn´t resist these cute critters from the
"Love notes" set by Clearly Besotted! They will be
perfect for so many occasions and cards!

I made two cards, the green/turquoise one with birthdays
messages and the orange/red/purple one with just because,
big hugs, thinking of you messages! All sentiments are from
the "Many everyday messages" by Hero Arts.

The post-it note is from the "Sticky notes" set by
Mama Elephant. And the little "Hi" comes with Tiny Townie
"Penelope has a pencil" from Stampingbella.

I heat embossed the sentiments on my two panels,
when cooled off I blended
Distress inks Twisted Citron,
Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers on one of the panels.
Spiced Marmalade, Festive Berries and Wilted Violet on the
other. I used my ink blending tool as I think they are easier to
work with when you want to blend a little more heavily.

I use my blending brushes when I want to fade the ink
seamlessly into a white cardstock.

I stamped, masked, colored the images and cut them out
with my Scan n Cut. And then adhered the post-it notes
to the panels using foam dots for some dimension!

Coffee break!

The Uptown Girls and The Curvy Girls from Stampingbella
are my favorite girls when it comes to stamping and coloring.
Love their quirky, cute looks and big hair!

Today´s card was inspired by @amyyoungforever
She often alter the Bella stamps in the most
amazing ways and a while back she used this
"Curvy girl loves coffee" on one of her amazing cards.
She had removed the sleeping mask and the clock was
replaced with a purse! Such a great idea!

As I wanted to give this a try myself I removed (masked)
her sleeping mask and filled the emty space with strands of hair.
So happy with how that turned out!

I wasn´t too sure how to come up with a small bag, so
I just skipped it this time. And instead of her just wearing
a long shirt (for sleeping in), bare legs and socks, I CASed
Amy´s card and made it into a stylish shirt to wear with a pair
of skinny jeans and boots instead! That is so clever and
suddenly this stamp is so versatile and can be used
for so many different occasions!

The image was colored with Copic markers, the die cut
hello is from the "Gallery frame #1 die" set from Hello Bluebird.

I die cut two pieces of the hello word, placing the black
slightly to the side as a shadow to the green piece.

Today I share a card made with a stamp I purchased a
while back but haven´t come around to use until now.
So many cute cards for cat lovers will be made using
this Curvy Girl Multitasker, from Stampingbella!

The stamped image is quite large, so I decided to make a
bigger card, 6"x6", instead of my nowadays go-to A2 size.

To incorporate some color and pattern I die cut a circle of
patterned paper, I die cut the same size circle on my card
panel, removed the white circle and placed the patterned paper
circle there instead for a smooth, one layer card panel!

The image was colored with Copic markers, for the black polka
dots I used a black gel pen. I cut the image out with my Scan n Cut, and then
adhered it to the card panel with foam dots for some dimension.

Thank you for stopping by!

Sending hugs & rainbows!

2020-01-15 22:42 | 0 kommentarer

Hello there!

Today I have not one but three cards to share!

They were all made using the most adorable
"Balloon Bunch Buddies" set by Clearly Besotted!

As I used the "Sending hugs & rainbows" sentiment on all
of the cards, I wanted to incoorporate some kind of rainbow,
and as all of the critters are holding on to balloons I
decided to make them my rainbow element!

Rainbow balloons three different ways!

The images were colored with Copic markers.
I used my Scan n Cut to cut them out,
and adhered them on foam dots to the panels.

I colored the background panels with Distress inks,
blended with Taylord Expressions Blending Brushes.

It was so easy to make a seamless blending, making the
ink fade from dark to very light and subtle on the white cardstock!
I finished the panels off by splashing some droplets of water to them!

My first 2020 Christmas cards!

2020-01-12 23:03 | 0 kommentarer

One of my goals for 2020 is to make Christmas cards
throughout the year, well January to September that is, as
I usually start working on my Christmas cards in October.

I also decided to make two at a time, that saves me
a lot of time especially if I do a lot of masking.
So here are my first two Christmas cards for 2020!

For these cards I have used a digi stamp from Krista Smith,
a gift from her to her e-mail news letter subscribers in December!
So very grateful for that adorable image! I colored these cuties
with Copic markers, I also added some sequins.
The sentiment banner is from Panduro.

Rainbow card!

2020-01-10 13:46 | 0 kommentarer

I´m in rainbow mode at the moment!

Using the mice from the ”It´s a mice time to celebrate”
set by
Stacey Yacula/MTF, love this cute and happy set!

Making this card I did a kind of emboss/resist technique.
I stamped the images using Versa Color Black, sprinkled on
clear embossing powder and heated with my heat gun.
Once dry, I marked the center of the card vertically, I then placed a
strip of masking tape, as a divider.
I used Distress inks for
my rainbow on the right hand side of the panel!

This is such an easy and fun technique to make a colorful
card without coloring with markers or pencils!

Thinking of you!

Hi there crafty friend!

Today I share the last card for 2019!
A while ago I was the lucky winner of Sue´s Instagram
give away! A few days later I received a big package of
retired/retiring stamps and dies from Whimsy Stamps

The stamp that first caught my eyes was this cutie!
Although I was busy making Christmas cards I just had
to ink and color her up that same day. And now she has
finally made it to a card! She will be perfect
for practicing coloring skin and hair!

I colored her with Copic markers and fussy cut the image.
I usually use my Scan n Cut, but when I don´t want a white
border I usually fussy cut, even though you can program
the machine to cut on the stamped outline.

I ink blended Distress Oxide inks, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry
and Spiced Marmalade for the background panel.
The sentiment stamp is from the "Fancy sayings"
set by Clearly Besotted, I love how they mix the fonts.

Happy new year and thank you for stopping by!

Jingle bells!

Today I share my last Christmas cards for 2019!

I have used the same two stamp sets, "Sing it´s Christmas"
and "Picture it Christmas"  by Clearly Besotted for both cards,
but used different sentiments, from the "Sing it´s Christmas" set.

The images were colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut the
mountain tops and the tree outlines, and mounted the
panels on to Distress ink blended background panels.

I heat embossed the sentiments using white embossing
powder to make them shiny and pop against the blue skies!

Glossy accents, a white gel pen and Stickles
were used to add some finishing details!

Merry Christmas and thank you for stopping by today!

Hello there!

I have made several Christmas cards this season
using the adorable "Curvy Girl with bubbly" from Stampingbella.

I have changed the design, the colors, the coloring on her
dress for the different cards. Here are just a few!

I have colored her with Copic markers.
I added some white gel pen to the details of the berries in her
hair and to the bow on the one with the black-ish dress.
I applied some Stickles to the bubbly in the glass!

The panels on the left hand side were made heat
embossing snow flakes in different colors and then the panels
were colored with Distress ink and Distress ink oxides.
It was a bit time consuming but I love how the snow flakes turned out!

Above is my new favorite color combo, light pink and warm grey!

The zig zag technique I used when coloring the dresses
works really well for this type of shape of dress.

Pink-orange-red Birthday card!

2019-12-20 18:47 | 0 kommentarer

I still have a few more Christmas cards to
share, but today´s card is a birthday card!

For this card I used "Curvy Girl eats cake" from Stampingbella.
The banner stamp, "Small line of pennants", is from Gummiapan

The images were colored with Copic markers and the
background was colored with Distress inks and Distress Oxide inks.
Droplets of water were splashed to the background and some
Stickles was applied to the caramel frosting on the cake!

Sentiment stamp is from the "Delightful greetings" set by Paper Smooches.
