30 Day Coloring Challenge!

2018-10-31 19:47 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

It is time for another 30 day Coloring Challenge,
hosted by the lovely Kathy!
And it starts tomorrow November 1st!

"It’s supposed to be a stress free 30 days.
WHAT IS THE GOAL of the challenge: To color something
daily even if it’s a few minutes but, certainly not required.

IN A NUT SHELL … it’s anything goes challenge …
and whatever you feel inspired to do.
Any medium of your choice including “coloring” with ink.
Some days you will have more time than others but,
it’s just about adding more time to color
and carve out a little time for you."

I am going to color tags this time too, but I will
go for Holiday themed tags this time!

I will post one tag per day on my Instagram account
and here on the blog I will post the tags once a week.

This is going to be so much fun, and by
December 1st I´ll have thirty Holiday tags! Yay!

And what is even more fun...
I am one of the Goodwill Ambassadors during this challenge!
So excited and honored!

Thanks for stopping by today!

One of my Instagram friends and I have a card making
challenge, that is we exchange cards!
Fall was the theme for our latest challenge!

These little happy guys are from the "Fall Fox" set from SugarPea Designs.

The images, the grass and the sky were colored with Copic markers.

I colored the yellow/orange/red background using Distress
Inks and some droplets of water for a fall feel!

How about a colorful envelope! Love this A7 size stripe
envelope from Park Lane, purchased at Jo Ann´s.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You Angel Card!

Hi there!

I shared this card I made a few days ago on Instagram but
haven´t had the time to share it here on the blog!
Well, here is the angel thank-you card, made for a customer.

This is my favorite angel, "Celestina" from
Kraftin´ Kimmie Stamp, unfortunately I believe the stamp is retired.

I die cut a circle on a piece of scrap paper, three little
clouds were die cut off masking paper, the angel was also stamped
and fussy cut off masking paper. The sky background was colored
with Distress Ink "Tumbled Glass" using a mini blending
tool to apply it, hence all the masking!

I colored the angel with Copic markers, I added just a tiny
amount of Stickles to her wings to make them glitter.

The sentiment is from Gummiapan, saying
"Just wanted to say Thank you!", in Swedish.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Merry Christmas!

Hi there!

Christmas cards in the making!
For this card I used the Lawn fawn "Winter Penguin" stamp
and the "Merry Christmas Circle Die"  from MFT.

It was my first time using the "Merry Christmas Circle Die".
I colored a piece of cardstock using Distress Ink "Candied Apple",
splashed some droplets of water on it and die cut the circle frame.

Note to self... let Distress Inked cardstock dry before die cutting next time...

I tucked the die cut circle behind a drift of snow as I wasn´t happy
with the way
it looked just placing it around the penguin.
I think the drift of snow helped to achieve some dimension!

The penguin was colored with Copic markers,
background was made using Distress inks and the falling snow
was made using the Simon Says Stamp "Falling Snow" stencil,
clear embossing powder and a heat tool!

Thank you for stopping by today!

From tag to card!

During the last "30 Day Coloring Challenge" one of the tags
I made was this one below. I saved it for a special friend and occasion!

I wanted to incorporate it on to a card. My first idea was to
adhere the tag on the card, ribbon, twine and all, adding patterned paper etc,
but I tried several different ways and weren´t happy with neither of them...

I ended up trimming the tag to a rectangular shape instead
and matted it to a piece of black cardstock.

In my head I had this idea of a fun new card design, but it turned out
as a regular card of mine, but I like the fact that I used a lot of color!

The stripes in the background were made using the
"Watercolor Stripes" stencil from Altenew and Distress Inks!

Image was colored with Copic Markers!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bear & Mousy!

2018-10-14 19:10 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

I have had this kraft card stock lying around for a long time
but never come to use it. When coloring this bear warm grey I
thought it would be a perfect match.

Ok, looots of different steps making these cards.
I stamped and colored the image, used a stencil making the
falling snow, heat embossed the (white) snow, masked the
image and colored the background with Distress Inks.

I wanted to try frosty grass and used one of the grass die cut
borders from the set "Grassy Hills" from MFT and sponged it very
light handed using Distress Ink Tumbled Glass.
I s
tamped the sentiment and added a little heart!

Bear and mouse "Polar Bear and Mousy Stuffies" are from
Stampingbella! Colored using Copic Markers!

How cute are these little guys!!!

Thank you for stopping by today!

For these set of cards I used on older poinsettia
stamp from a set from Stampendous!

As much as I love making cards and tags using the cutest of critters
I also enjoy making CAS cards with few details, straight lines with
a beautiful, simple focal points.

I have chosen turquoise and pink/red-ish for the poinsettias.

Images were colored with Copic markers,
sentiment stamps (Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year)
are from Gummiapan.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Charlie sits by the chimney, Christmas Cards!

Hello there!

Holiday card making season is on for real!

I used the pretty Uptown Girl "Charlie (sits by the chimney)"
from Stampingbella to make this set of cards!

I love making Christmas cards in non traditional
colors and pink is my favorite non traditional Christmas color!

When making sets of cards I am so happy to have my Misti!
I have the Mini and it works perfectly fine for me, there have been
only a few times I wish a had the bigger one instead.

The images and the backgrounds/shadows were colored with Copic markers.

The sentiment (Merry Christmas in swedish) is from Gummiapan.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Feel Better Flowers!

I was one of the lucky winners in one of the give aways
during the last 30 day Coloring Challenge, hosted by the lovely Kathy.
I won a gift card at Gina K´s, and I never ever win, I am sooo happy!

I have been searching for a while for a beautiful flower stamp,
and now I got this set of flower stamps with coordinating dies!

The stamp set is called "Stippled Flowers".

This get well card was made for a man, I colored the background
with Distress Inks in grey and aqua for a more masculin feel.
The flowers were colored with Zig´s, it was my first time coloring
with Zig´s (borrowed from Miss Ellenor!) and I love them!

I heat embossed the sentiment to match the
golden/beige color I had chosen for the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today!
