CASometry Challenge 3, stage 2!

2017-04-23 12:00 | 3 kommentarer

This is my entry for stage 2 of the CASometry Challenge 3, Randomizer, hosted by lovely Anna!
The challenge for this week is to pick 1 random stamp set + using one stamp minimum of 3 times!

I picked the stamp set "Cool Cat" by Birdie Brown and My Favorite Things, for this week´s challenge. I choose my favorite kitten and stamped (and masked!) him five times, to get a small gang of kittens! I colored them with Copic markers.

This is actually pretty funny, as Anna´s previous CAsometry Challenge last year was all about clean and simple, I have to admit I often struggle with keeping my cards clean, simple, one layered and so on, as I feel something is missing and they don´t seem finished to me if I don´t add layers, a flower here and there, sequins etc. I guess I am not the only one, as for this challenge she pointed out "no strong style rules this time - for many of us it´s hard to make clear CAS cards. Just make what you like". And now I have managed to make the most clean & simple cards I have ever made for both stage one and two!

Thank you for stopping by, have a lovely Sunday!

CASometry Challenge 3, stage 1!

2017-04-17 19:29 | 2 kommentarer

This is my entry for the CASometry challenge 3, randomizer, stage 1. I have been waiting for this particular challenge, hosted by the lovely Anna!

Some of the simple rules of CASometry Challenge 3. Randomizer:

  1. Pick a new random stamp set for every new task!
  2. This stamp should be the main focus of your card. But you can add any other supplies of your choice. They of course can be different from one stage to another.
  3. There will be five stages — four regular and one Secret Super-Final. Every stage will last one week. New stage will start every Thursday 7 am (Moscow time!) and inLinkz will be closed 5 minutes before the next stage starts.
  4. Every time will be another small additional task for every stage.
  5. No any other rules! No strong style rules this time — for many of us it’s hard to make clear CAS cards. Just make what you like.

This week´s theme is 1 random stamp set + any geometry shape

For stage/week 1 of this challenge I picked the "Tickle my Fancy" stamp set from Clearly Besotted. I love these gorgeous feathers. I inked them up with Distress Inks, Evergreen Bough, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. For the geometry shape I chose a square shape. I just lightly inked the edges of my square with a mini ink blending tool, to get a soft and smooth edge.

The sentiment stamp is also from the same stamp set.

Thanks for visiting, have a great day!

Easter-ish Pillow Box!

2017-04-11 22:54 | 1 kommentarer

This is my first try using my new pillow box die from Lawn Fawn! This pillow box is the perfect size to fit a gift card! And so easy to use, run it through a die cutting machine and just fold and glue together.

I have used the Penny Black stamp "From the Folks" and just cut out the chickens.

I made the signage after watching Sandy Allnocks´ video about creating different kinds of signage, I can´t wait to try her other signage ideas!
This was super easy to make and so much fun!

The sky and the grass was made using Distress inks, Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass.

The images was colored with Copic Markers.

Green & white wedding card!

2017-04-09 22:59 | 0 kommentarer

This is a custom order wedding card, and as always with special orders it makes me think outside the box.

There were a few requests, the front of the card in colors greeen & white, this particular stamp (purchased long ago and sorry but I don´t remenber the brand). Green, red and white hearts.
To make the inside of the card with yellow and black details.

As I was not going to use any patterned paper on this card, I instead used the "Geometric Grid" stencil from My Favorite Things to create some interesting details using distress ink in color Moved lawn.

The punched white flowers with green brads in their centers also added interest to this otherwise clean and simple one layer card. I always assemble the punched flowers with two sets of petals for some dimension. Some Glossy Accents were added to the small hearts!

The image was colored with Copic markers.

Hello there, big hugs!

I´m sharing a super easy and quick to make, CAS card today.

I started out by stamping the message on the center of the cardstock, using sentiments from the "Many everyday messages" set from Hero Arts.

I then stamped the different kinds of pandas from the "Furry Panda" set from Paperie Ink, placing the stamps randomly in different directions. I finished it of with stamping small hearts here and there! I colored the pandas along the edges with Copic markers C1 and C2, just to get some shading, pale blue eyes and red hearts. A mat of red card stock framed the stamped images, which then was attached to a white card base!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Easter-ish tags!

2017-03-27 19:39 | 0 kommentarer

Easter is just around the corner, I rarely make Easter cards, but I loved making these cute tags!

As I don´t often make Easter cards I don´t have any special Easter related stamps....

...but this Penny Black stamp "From the folks" is just perfect when in need of some cute chickens! A little bit of fussy cutting and you end up with chickens to make easter-ish tags!!

The tag die is from Mama Elephant. The grass and the sky was made using Distress inks in colors Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn, my go to colors for making quick and easy backgrounds.

The chickens were colored with Copic markers!

Thanks for visiting, have a great day!

Pillow box-Going places!

2017-03-20 19:25 | 0 kommentarer

Wouldn´t it be soooo much fun to get a box like this holding a car key for your birthday!

I have been playing with pillow boxes lately! I have tried different ways to decorate them, with punched flowers and brads, without punched flowers and brads, I have tried using different layers of papers but this clean and simple one works best for me, for now anyway!

For this pillow box I have used the "Pillow box punch board" from We R Memory Keepers, not sure about the measurements as I have to cut the small side flaps to fit properly. On the plus side is that you can make really small (short) or long  pillow boxes as opposed to dies that only cut one size. I am eagerly waiting for my pillow box die from Lawn Fawn to arrive in the mail any day now though.

The stamp I have used for this pillow box is from an older stamp set called "Going places" from Kraftin´Kimmie. I have colored this image with copic markers. Some Glossy Accents is added to her sun glasses, but it is really hard to tell as the photo doesn´t make justice to the stamped and colored image.

Cupcakes & kittens!

For day 7 of the Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge, hosted by Kathy Raccosin, I colored these little cupcakes, as those of you who follow me on Instagram might remeber! As I was coloring them I had this panel in mind for this card.

I added four kittens from My Favorite Things "Cool Cat" stamp set by Birdie Brown, plus an extra cupcake for each kitten! I did some masking when stamping the cupcakes and the kittens, I then fussy cut them and adhered them to the card!

All images are colored with Copic markers. Stickles was added to each and every cupcake!

The banner is from the "Woodland Wonders" stamp set from Avery Elle. The sentiment is from the "Many Everyday Messages" stamp set from Hero Arts.

This card was inspired by Miss Ellenor!

Fiona loves flowers-CAS!

2017-03-06 22:28 | 0 kommentarer

Today I  share a card I made a few days ago. For this card I have used a stamp that is so much fun to work with, mainly because of its size and because I think it is absolutely lovely as well!

This is Uptown girl Fiona (loves flowers), from Stampingbella. I love to color her big hair, her skin and many flowers.

This turned out to be a clean and simple, almost one layer card! I added just a tiny bit of glitter along the edges for some extra sparkle!

This could be a Birthday card, Thank you card, or a Just because card, this stamp is so versatile.
I colored Fiona with copic markers.

Thanks for visiting, have a great week!

Big hugs!

Today I am sharing a set of tags, made using my favorite kitten from the "BB Cool Cat" stamp set from My Favorite Things!

For some extra cuteness and love I added a heart to the sweet kittens!

I coordinated the card stock on the back of the tags with the ribbons, for some more color!

These tags are now listed in my Etsy shop! They are perfect when in need of a little love note!

Images are colored with Copic markers. Tag die from "Terrific Tag" set from Bo Bunny.

Thanks for visiting, have a great weekend!

The kitten & the mouse friend for Valentine!

2017-02-13 19:01 | 0 kommentarer

I´m still very much in love with this cute kitten and its little mouse friend stamps from Paperie Ink, and decided to use them when making some Valentine´s cards! As my mojo has been MIA for a while I finally was inspired by Christine and CASE-ed her adorable card.

The sentiment stamp saying "Just wanted to say" is from Gummiapan.

The notebook edge punch, "Binding Edge Edger Craft Punch" is from EK Success.

I got these large heart shaped brads years ago, and I use them on very important projects only, as I don´t know where to find new ones!

The images are colored with Copic markers.

Go to your Happy Place!

2017-02-07 17:19 | 0 kommentarer

It´s been some very gloomy and grey couple of weeks where I live. Makes me want to book a flight to a place far away, pack my bags and when arriving at a beautiful beach, stick my toes in the sand and sit watching the sun set, sipping a yummie drink...

That was the mode I was in and where my mind was when making these tags!

I wanted this stamp set for so long, "Get outta town", from Papersmooches. I had envisioned so many cool projects to make using these stamps!

All images are colored with Copic markers. I couldn´t help but adding polka dots to the pink suitcases!

You can find these tags listed in my Etsy shop!

The kitten & the suitcase!

2017-01-29 18:38 | 0 kommentarer

As a birthday gift I had purchased a suitcase and needed a card to go with it!

I almost always make my cards in size 6x6". But this card I wanted to be more narrow and tall (6x4"). My idea was to stamp suitcases stacked on top of each other. And on top of them I stamped this sleeping cutie!

The suitcases and the flower are from the "Get outta town" set from Papersmooches. The cute kitten is from Paperie Ink. I did some masking when stacking the suitcases and the kitten on top, and I am really pleased with how this card turned out.

I colored the images with Copic markers, Wink of Stella in clear was added to the flower. A touch of Glossy Accents were added to the handles and locks on the suitcases, for a shiny finish.

Thanks for visiting, have a great day!

Pattie & Dottie Birthday Card!

2017-01-23 18:23 | 0 kommentarer

Needed to get my card making mojo back...so I tried lots of colors, some glitter and two happy ladies, for this birthday card!

These two happy ladies are Uptown girls Pattie and Dottie, from Stampinbella. I haven´t been using this stamp much but they are kind of cheerful and happy, and they are perfect for birthday cards!

As I obviously needed a dose of bright, vibrant colors I went all in on this one!

The ladies are colored with Copic markers, the green background was made using Distress inks and a touch of copic. For the stripes I simply drew irregular stripes with the copics I used on the dresses and background.

The happy birthday sentiment is from the clear stamp set "Many everyday messages", from Hero Arts. So many messages in this set to be used on so many different occasions!

Thanks for visiting, have a great day!

Panda tags!

I am all in to tags at the moment! These ones are made using the cute pandas from Paperie Ink. Images are colored with Copic markers.

These are perfect as Valentine notes, love notes, or to go with flowers, chocholate or gifts!

The backsides are color coordinated with details on the front of the tags. This set of three tags are listed in my Etsy shop
