Fall tag!

2019-09-16 23:10 | 0 kommentarer

Fall season is here and today I share a tag I made for
Isabel Cristina using the beautiful maple leaf from the
”Fall friends” digi stamp set. I just love the heart!

There are so many cute stamps in this set,
perfect for fall cards, invitations and tags!
This set is available in Isabel´s Etsy store.

I resized the leaf to fit my tag, and then printed it out.
The die I used is from the”Tag along” tag die collection
set by Clearly Besotted. I colored both the leaf and the
background with Copic markers. I used a black fine line
marker for the tiny dots on the leaf. I applied Glossy
Accents to the heart to make it pop and shine!

The die cut thanks is from the ”Gallery frame #2” by
Hello Bluebird. I die cut two pieces, adhering the black
slightly to the side as a shadow to the pink. I die cut the
hole reinforcer out of black cardstock as well to got with the
black shadow of the ”thanks”. I always make my
tags double, with a separate tag to write on!

As always, I am so grateful for you visiting my blog!

Thinking of you!

2019-09-10 10:47 | 0 kommentarer

Using my favorite Hello Bluebird raccoon for this
Thinking-of-you card! This adorable little guy is from the
"Fly a kite" stamp set, the little bird and the flowers are from
the "Banner buddies" set, also from Hello Bluebird.

The background is a rough around the edges watercolor circle!
I was inspired by Lisa´s super cute penguin card and
this was the perfect card to give it a try!

I cut out a circle from a piece of scrap paper as a mask,
then applying water with a brush to my watercolor paper,
starting with the "ground", going a little outside the "lines"
to get that rough, uneven look! I used Liquid watercolor from
Avery Elle, color Celery, for the grass and Aquamarine
for the sky and just dripped a few drops into
the wet area. I love how the color just spreads and stays
where the paper is wet! Still a newbie to the world of
watercolors and still fascinated by these small things!

After letting it dry for a few minutes I once
again placed my circle mask over my panel
continuing with the blue sky part of my circle.

The images were colored with Copic markers, the sentiment
stamp is from the "Fancy sayings" set by Clearly Besotted!

I also added a few grains of Nuvo Shimmer
Powder, color Blue Blitz to the sky, for some
shimmer, but it is hard to see in the photo.

This birthday card was made mixing two stamp set from
Hello Bluebird, the "Banner buddies" and the "Fly a kite" set!
The flag stamp is from Gummiapan.

The images were colored with Copic markers, I usually
use my Scan n Cut for cutting but I purchased the
coordinating dies to both stamp sets and the flags too and
ran them quick and easy trough my Cuttlebug!

The frame die I used for my card is also from Hello
Bluebird, "Gallery frame #1". My first thought was to let the
card be the size of the frame (A2), but I felt something was
missing and I placed my panel on a white cardbase
and that white edge was what was missing! The finished
card is close to A7 size, just slightly smaller!

To create my hill scene I used one of the stitched border
dies from the "Landscape trio" die set by Mama Elphant.
Distress ink Mowed Lawn was used for coloring the hill
and Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean was used for the sky!
I splashed droplets of water on the Distress inked pieces!

Safe travels!

I colored these travel bunnies a while ago, they have
been sitting on my desk patiently waiting to go on a card!

They are from the fun and adorable
"Bon Voyage" digi stamp set from Isabel Cristina!

You´ll find it in Isabel´s Etsy store!

I layered several images on this card. If you are
how I layer images in a Word document on my PC,
see my blog post from a few months ago!

The images were colored with Copic markers and then run
through my Scan n Cut. I choose to use two of the sentiments from
the set for this card, I placed them in the upper left corner to give
enough space for my images to fit the stitched die cut panel.

As backdrop I used a city map,
I knew it would come to good use some day!

I applied some Glossy accents to the sun glasses!

Just for you!

I recieved a very beautiful card a few weeks
ago from a crafty friend and she also sent
me a floral stamp set!

I have finally inked up those pretty flowers!

The flowers are from the "Daisy Thanks" set
by Stampendous and the sentiment stamp is from the
"Fancy Sayings" set from Clearly Besotted.

I colored the images and the background with Copic markers.

I masked that area on the stems of the
flowers with a piece of scrap printer paper
for the sentiment to be stamped there.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Today I share a card I made for Isabel Cristina, using the new
”Fall friends” digi stamp set! Now available in Isabel´s Etsy store!

Fall friends IsabelCristinaStamps image 1

Purchasing a set of Isabel´s digi stamps is such value for
money! There are so many pro´s working with digi stamps.
Below I have made a short list of a few!

Bildresultat för punkt rosa They often come with lots of images and sentiments!

Bildresultat för punkt rosa You can resize the images, smaller or
larger to fit your special project!

Bildresultat för punkt rosa You don´t have to wait for your stamps to be shipped, going
through customs and finally be deliverd by the mail carrier
weeks later as you instant
download them, when paid!

Bildresultat för punkt rosa No extra fee´s like shipping, customs, etc!

Bildresultat för punkt rosa They make great gifts too!

I layered several of the images on this card. If you are
how I layer images in a Word document on my PC,
see my blog post from a few months ago!

When colored (with Copic markers) I ran my image
through my Scan n Cut choosing a 1 mm white edge,
I die cut the lower part of the image
using a stitched border rectangle and my Cuttlebug.

I printed the sentiment on a separate piece of cardstock,
die cut it using the same stitched rectangle die, and mounted
the image piece to the sentiment piece. I matched the
colors of my fall scene with a striped paper, adhered
directly on the card base. I adhered my panel with the fall scene
and the sentiment on foam dots for some dimension to the cardbase!

It is such an important topic, to support the designers and
companies who creates all these amazing stamps, stencils,
dies etc that you love. Many of our favorite stamp companies are
affected by stolen designs. Take a stand and support the
designers and (often) small companies that brings us joy with
their designs and don´t support the thieves, don´t buy stolen designs.

Great initiative by @biiirka

For today´s cards I have used a stamp from one
of my favorite companies, "Curvy girl loves coffee"
from Stampingbella to make two get well cards!

The sentiment that comes with this stamp says
"Life happens. Coffee helps", but I thought she could help
brighten someone´s day, someone who is not feeling well too!
Don´t you just love her sleeping mask, shirt and socks!!!

The Swedish get well sentiment stamp is from Gummiapan.

I colored these gorgeous girls with Copic markers, added polka
dots to their shirts using a white gel pen. The background shading
and ground were also colored with Copic markers.

Hoppy Halloween!

Hi there!

Today I share a card I made for Isabel Cristina using
the "Hoppy Halloween" digi stamp set.

There are lots of cute bunnies in this set and some great
sentiments as well! Just look at those bunnies wearing
Copic marker costumes, how cute and fun is that!!!

This set is now available in Isabel´s Etsy store!

image 1

I wanted a dramatic background for my card and was inspired by
Rachel´s  super cool Halloween card! I blended Distress Inks,
Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot
on a die cut stitched panel, for a Halloween-y night sky.
I die cut a circle for a moon, and colored it with Copic markers.
For even more drama...black hills, I inked the edges with white ink!

The trick-or-treaters were colored with Copic markers!
I stamped a swarm of bats, soaring in front of the moon,
they are from the "Dracula, I compel you" set from Whimsy Stamps.

Camp Create, day 5!

2019-08-20 22:33 | 0 kommentarer

Last day of MFT´s Camp Create, session 2!

Today´s craft is "Awesome Ombre"! I was so inspired
by counsler Stephanie´s rainbow card and I kind of CASEd it!

 As I don´t have a rainbow die I decided to make a
straight rainbow instead of curved! I cut strips of white
cardstock and colored them using Distress Inks, creating an
ombre look starting with a lots of color, going from dark
to light
at the end of each strip of cardstock.

I blended some Distress Inks to make a scallop background
border, using Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed,
Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, just now realizing I
forgot the dark pink Picked Raspberry!

I inked and colored one of the Stacey Yacula´s
"It´s a mice time to celebrate" mice, from MFT to add a little
cuteness to my card! I die cut two pieces of clouds using
the Mama Elephant "Landscape trio" dies. I tucked the mouse
in between the clouds. I stamped one of the sentiments
from the same stamp set on the cloud in the front!

Camp Create, day 4!

2019-08-19 16:42 | 0 kommentarer

Day 4 of Camp Create, session 2!

Today´s craft: "Monocromatic Magic", using a
monochromatic color scheme, varying the
shade and intensity of the color.

A background stamp would have been perfect today
as well, but I made my own background this time too!
My first thought was to go with pink, but I didn´t find
pink cardstock that really matched, so I chose
golden/beige/soft brown/kraft instead. This time I used the
”Happy Hedgehogs” stamp set by Birdie Brown/MFT.

I started by cutting two pieces of cardstock, one beige and the
other soft brown the same size. I positioned my selected
stamps in my Misti and stamped both of my cardstock using
embossing ink. I sprinkled golden embossing powder
on them
and heated them with my heat gun. I then cut both papers into
super important to cut the same sizes.
I then assembled the strips adhering them to a piece of
cardstock , taking turns with the two colors until they were
back to the same size I started with. The card panel is now in
two different colors! I die cut the panel using a stitched
rectangle, and I mounted it down to the card base.

The example card had a hello die with a coordinating shadow
layer die. It looked quite fancy, so I had to give it a try!
I used an MFT "hello" die and made a shadow
layer for my hello using my Scan n Cut, by choosing a 3mm edge
around the it! I assembled them and ahered them to the card!

One more day of Camp to go!

Pineapples & watermelons, no 3!

2019-08-18 17:36 | 0 kommentarer

This is card no 3 made for Isabel Cristina using the
"Pineapples & Watermelon ” digi stamp set.

How cute is this bunny holding a slice of pineapple!

So many cute cards can be made  using this stamp set,
it comes with lots of images and sentiments!

You´ll find this digi set in Isabel´s Etsy store

This is the same image I used for card no 1, I resized the
image a little bigger as it was going to be the only image and
focal point on this card! I colored him (or her?!) with Copic
markers and ran the image through my Scan n Cut.

I colored a watercolor paper panel with Liquid watercolor
from Avery Elle, in color Mimosa, as a backdrop for the bunny.
I adhered the bunny using foam dots, for some dimension.

Looking through my pile of patterned papers I found one
that matched the pineapple, I adhered it directly on the card base!

Camp Create, day 3!

Day 3 of Camp Create, session 2!

Today´s craft: "Background Bonanza"!
Vibrant color and a bold sentiment are the name of the
game today, a background that
makes a statement.

I have been wanting to learn how to make awesome watercolor-ish
backgrounds for so long and the other day I saw a gorgeous
card on Instagram by Mellisa, and I reached out to her for tips & tricks!

So, this is a Distress Oxide Ink smoosh background!
Colors used were, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmelade.
Love this technique! I am obviously very late to this ink smooshing
party as I have seen it around for ever! This was sooo much fun!

The saying is from the MFT stamp set "Anything-but-Basic Friendship",
and I used the Moxie Alphabet from Quickutz. I added a little
elephant from the MFT "
Adorable Elephants" stamp set by Birdie Brown
to add some cuteness! The elephant was colored with Copic markers!

Camp Create, day 2!

2019-08-15 08:28 | 1 kommentarer

Day 2 of Camp Create, session 2.

Today´s craft is ”Magnificent Masking”. And emboss resist
coloring. Another challenging challenge as I own two
background stamps only, one of them is polka dots
and that didn´t excite me at all for this task.

So I decided to make my own background stamp/ing,
using the mice from the ”It´s a mice time to celebrate” set by
Stacey Yacula/MTF, and I added som mini circles from the
”Friendly Florals” set from Neat & Tangled, as there were too
much empty, white space in between the images.

My idea was to mask and emboss resist/highlight
the mouse in the bottom right hand corner.

To start this masking/emboss resist process I positioned the
stamps I had chosen in my Stamp platform,
I used a grey ink for my first layer of stamping.

I then took a post-it note and die cut a circle in the center.
I placed the die cut post-it note over the mouse that was
to be embossed, inked up the selected mouse stamp with
black ink this time, removed the post-it note, sprinkled on some
embossing powder in clear and heated it with my heat gun.

I placed the post-it note in the same place as before and
some strips of painter´s tape to cover a little bit
more of the card panel,
to not accidentaly stain
any Distress ink where I didn´t want it!

I was inspired by counselar Stephanie´s colorful cards and I
blended Distress Inks in the circle of my mask,
I used Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Picked
Raspberry, Candied Apple and Mustard Seed.

As I didn´t have a colorful patterned paper the same colors
I decided to do some ink blending directly on the front of my
card base, using the same Distress ink colors I used in the circle.

I adhered the stamped and colored card panel to the
card base, using foam dots for some dimension.

Camp Create, day 1!

2019-08-14 00:02 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

Camp Create, session 2!

This is the first time I´m playing along with MFT´s
Camp Create
. I missed out on the first session a
few weks ago but now I will try my best to keep up
and participate in the craft sessions each
day and earn the Camp Create badges

The challenge  for the first day of camp was ”Inlaid made easy”,
inlaid die cutting... This really was a challenge…
it took me several times until I was happy with my card as
I did the die cutting in the wrong order.

As I don´t own lots of fun standalone dies, I had to figure a scene
out using a grass die, a cloud die for my trees, a heart and a hello die.
I colored the different elements with Distress inks and Distress Oxide inks.

The grass die is "Grassy hills" from MFT, the cloud/tree die is from
the "Landscape Trio" die set from Mama Elephant,
the heart die is from the"Tag Along Die Collection" set from
Clearly Besotted and the "Hello" die is from MFT.

Above is my badge for day 1 of Camp!

I am so happy with how this card finally turned
out, this really is a cool technique!

using the "Dance and music" digital stamp set!

This is a really cute and fun set with lots of critters
playing different instruments! You´ll find this set
and so many more in Isabel´s Etsy store!

I layered the monkeys and the mouse holding the microphone,
if you are curious
how I layer images in a Word document
on my PC, please
see my blog post from a few months back!

I printed the images and colored them with Copic markers,
ran them through my Scan n Cut, quick and easy!

I blended Distress Oxide inks Cracked Pistachio and
Peacock Feathers, for my background and frame, using
the "Gallery frame #1 die" from Hello Bluebird.
I also die cut a piece of black cardstock to get the black
inlay/dividers. I adhered the images with doublesided
tape and some glue, no foam dots on this one!
