Charlie sits by the chimney, Christmas Cards!

2018-10-07 21:40 | 0 kommentarer

Hello there!

Holiday card making season is on for real!

I used the pretty Uptown Girl "Charlie (sits by the chimney)"
from Stampingbella to make this set of cards!

I love making Christmas cards in non traditional
colors and pink is my favorite non traditional Christmas color!

When making sets of cards I am so happy to have my Misti!
I have the Mini and it works perfectly fine for me, there have been
only a few times I wish a had the bigger one instead.

The images and the backgrounds/shadows were colored with Copic markers.

The sentiment (Merry Christmas in swedish) is from Gummiapan.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Feel Better Flowers!

I was one of the lucky winners in one of the give aways
during the last 30 day Coloring Challenge, hosted by the lovely Kathy.
I won a gift card at Gina K´s, and I never ever win, I am sooo happy!

I have been searching for a while for a beautiful flower stamp,
and now I got this set of flower stamps with coordinating dies!

The stamp set is called "Stippled Flowers".

This get well card was made for a man, I colored the background
with Distress Inks in grey and aqua for a more masculin feel.
The flowers were colored with Zig´s, it was my first time coloring
with Zig´s (borrowed from Miss Ellenor!) and I love them!

I heat embossed the sentiment to match the
golden/beige color I had chosen for the flowers.

Mini Picture Frames!

2018-09-27 14:18 | 0 kommentarer

Hi there!

This card was made using three things I really like working and playing
with at the moment! They are... of course the cutest of "Party Animals" stamps
from Mama Elephant, the "Watercolor Stripe Stencil" from Altenew
and the "Mini Picture Frames" dies from Lawn Fawn!

The background was made using the stencil and Distress inks.
Can´t seem to remember wich colors I used
for this, but I love this aqua/green mix!

Images were colored with Copic markers.

I die cut several of each of the picture frames,
(thank you Lori @frombw2color on Instagram, for the inspiration),
three green and one white for each frame and glued them together as I
wanted the frames to be a little thicker.

I think its nice when you look at the card from the side and you can see the
green color pop on the picture frames! Sentiment stamp is from Gummiapan!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

White & Blue!

Now I can share a card I made a few weeks ago,
knowing that it has arrived at the recipient!

As I mentioned before, me and one of my Instagram friends
have this private card making challenge! We take turns in coming up with a
theme, make cards for each other and exchange! Sooo much fun!

This time I came up with the theme "monocromatic",
but I almost regretted
it as it was easier said than done.
I made a completely different
card at first, in pink colors, but decided
that I wasn´t happy with how it turned out.
I went for this blue color
scheme instead and I felt like cheating as it isn´t really monocromatic, is it?
Its a white and blue card! But this is what I finally sent, happy with how
it turned out but not so happy with how I followed our (my) theme.

Stamp, Uptown Girls "Victoria and Juliette", from
Stampingbella, colored with Copic markers.

Hello Friend!

Hi there!

Today´s card is another just because card!

This card was made using one of the bunnies and his little bird friend
from the
"McGregor´s Garden" set from Hello Bluebird!

As I colored the bunny with warm grey Copics I thought it would be
perfect to match with kraft cardstock! The grass and the sky were colored
with Distress inks. (The shadow under the bunny was colored with Copics.)

A super easy and quick card!

Hello Miss July!

The Modern Misses digital stamps from
Lily of The Valley is so much fun to play with!
I needed some more "just because" cards and this
image is so cute and perfect for so many occasions!

For these two cards I colored up Miss July!

I colored them a little different from each other and just
couldn´t resist coloring one of the bath ducks pink!

Images, shadows and backgrounds were colored with Copic markers.

Hello / just because card!

Hi there!

When making this card I realized I need more Hello/just
because cards. Often times you need them kind of right away...
and its great to have a few to chose from!

For this card I used the sweet kitten and puppy,
and their tiny friends, the duckling and the turtoise
from the "Rain or shine" set from Mama Elephant!

Images and background were colored with Copic markers!
And I used a white gel pen for the polka dots.

On its way to brighten someone´s day!

Thank you for stopping by!

Book worms!

I just couldn´t resist the "Book worms" set from Mama Elephant!
Lots of adorable critters, with and without glasses, single books,
pile of books, rows of books, apples and... even a little worm too!
The combinations seem endless with this set!

First project I made using this stamp set was a card!

Images and background were colored with Copic markers.
I applied a coat of Glossy Accents to their glasses!

Sentiment stamps from Gummiapan (just wanted to say thanks).

More to come...

Get well soon!

Hi there!

I have been thinking long and hard about how to make
a pretty card using these cute little frames "Mini picture frames",
from Lawn Fawn and I came up with this idea to use the frames
together with the "Hippity Hop" bunnies from Mama Elephant.

Sorry about the bad quality of the photo above,
it really doesn´t make the colors justice, as the inside of the
frames are purple in real life. Below is a better picture!

I always have quite a clear picture in my head about the
cards I work on, I often draw a quick sketch, and in the end when
the card is finished it usually looks close to my original idea.

For this card I had envisioned a patterned paper, maybe floral
piece of cardstock and I ended up using this black/white striped washi tape!
I started out making the frames white as I thought white on white
looks good, but when the card was all finished and done I
realized that black would be the perfect choice for the frames...
so I die cut a new series of black frames and glued them on top of
the white ones and I love how it turned out!

Bunnies were colored with Copic markers, the backgrounds in
the frames were colored with Distress Inks Shaded Lilac and
Wilted violet, and some droplets of water were added to them!

Bunny and balloon!

2018-09-04 11:14 | 0 kommentarer

Hello there!

I hope you are as fond of the cute bunnies and chicken
from The "Party Animals" set from Mama Elephant as I am!

This might be my favorite stamp set ever, considering
how many cards and tags I have made with it already!

A few more are in the making or as ideas in the back
of my mind waiting to make it on to a card!

For this card I used only one of the bunnies,
flying away holding a balloon!

The striped background was made using masking tape and
Distress Inks. I didn´t own a stencil with stripes at the time this
card was made, so I masked and inked stripe by stripe.

Bunny and balloon were colored with Copic markers.
I used a white gel pen for the polka dots on the balloon and the
stripes on the party hat! Sentiment, meaning Congratulations
in Swedish is from Gummiapan.

A Hug Is All You Need!

For my birthday my sweet Instagram friend L sent me some
images for me to color. I have to admit I have felt a little nervous
coloring them up, just because I was afraid to totally mess them up!

What if I colored outside the lines and couldn´t save it
with my colorless blender ?!!!
What if I colored some strange color combinations
that would look awful together ?!!!

I finally decided to color their dresses pink and orange and to
color the girl wearing the pink dress a red head to match her friends dress!

I didn´t color outside the lines and I didn´t chose a
(in my opoinion) strange color combination!

I love this cute stamp! The "Huggy Squidgies", from
Stampingbella are just too adorable. And I love the sentiment, so true!

I colored the image with Copic markers!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today!

Just Sayin´!

Hello there!

For this birthday card I used the cute bear from the "Just Sayin" set from
Hello Bluebird. How cute is he holding his sign, ready to deliver a message!

I chose not to use any of the 30+ words from the stamp set,
but a cupcake instead (the cupcake is not included in this set)!

Image and background were colored with Copic markers.
Sentiment stamp is from Gummiapan, I love the size of it!

Final Assessment Clothing Class!

2018-08-21 14:08 | 0 kommentarer

Hello crafty friends!

I am celebrating today as I have finally finished the
Clothing Class I have been taking over at Kit and Clowder

My last photos are uploaded for feedback! Yay!!!

It took me longer than I expected but I only have myself to blame as
I from time to time prioritized other things instead of practicing
coloring pleats, folds and a bunch of other techniques!

I am so happy that I decided to take this class, so much class material,
so many lessons and videos and so much valuble feedback from Alyce!

The final assessment, to color this beautiful image above,
using different techniques learnt from class!

Well, back to the reason I decided to take this class...
as you might know by now, the photo below is the reason
I decided to take this class as I wanted to learn how to color this
particular dress beautifully, as I wasn´t happy at all with the
only way I knew how to color it at that point.

Not that I will be coloring this dress only,
but I was thinking more like, this is the type of dress
I want to learn how to color in a pretty way!

After lots and lots of practice, really focusing on the placements
of the pleats and folds, shadows and light,
going over the images two or three more times takes a lot of patience...

The zig zag technique below is my absolute favorite for this dress!

I am definitely going to take the Skin & Hair class too, but not right away.
I am thinking January would be a great time to dive in to that as I usually
find myself totally exhausted from the Holiday card making frenzy and
my mojo usually goes on vacation that time of year too!
Looking forward to taking that class! Maybe Santa will surprise
me with the Copics I need for that class!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Mail!

This card is on its way to the other side of the world,
I am finding so much joy in sending Happy Mail and
hope that this card will brighten the recipients day!

When making more advanced cards I like to draw a
quick and very simple sketch, in the end the outcome may not be
exactly like my original idea but I find it helpful,
especially when there is a lot of masking involved!

So...please don´t laugh at my quick drawing skills...
this is my sketch for the card above!

Bunnies and chickens!
The numbers tells in wich order to stamp the images when masking.

The stamp set is "Party Animals" from Mama Elephant!

Colored with Copic markers! The letters on the balloons
are from the alphabet die set "Moxie" from QuicKutz.

These little cuties are so easy to stamp and color on
the envelope as well and if I have the time I think its
worth doing as it makes the envelope super cute!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
